I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas.  I am also a Registered Play Therapist. I have over five years of experience providing therapy and have worked in many areas of mental health, from a non-profit agency for at-risk youth to an acute mental health hospital. I am passionate and experienced in working with children, adolescents, adults, and parents.  I am trained in Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trust-Based Relational Interventions (TBRI), and sandtray therapy. I enjoy using expressive modalities such as sandtray and art. I provide treatment in a variety of areas, to include: attachment issues, grief and loss, parenting, PTSD, trauma, anxiety, at-risk youth, military veterans, active-duty military members, military families, children and adolescents, self-esteem, life transitions, and many more.

No matter what mental health environment I work in, I believe the therapeutic relationship is the key to the therapeutic process; therefore, I use a variety of different modalities and techniques to meet each individual's needs. When working with children, I believe that family involvement is necessary for a child’s success in therapy. My overall goal is for my clients to feel they can be themselves and provide a therapeutic environment that is warm, welcoming, and strengths-based.
